Our History
Kleen Machine, Inc. was established through a partnership between Russell Bloch and Dave Lafler, initially serving as an industrial cleaning company. The company specialized in hydro blasting and steam cleaning services, catering to railroads, cereal plants, and commercial exhaust systems maintenance.
The company pivoted to focus on sales and service of a wide array of hydro blasting and steam cleaning equipment, marking a significant shift in its business model.
As growth continued, Kleen Machine evolved into KMI Cleaning Solutions, dedicating itself to the production of specialty cleaning compounds specifically designed for the transportation industry.
KMI broadened its scope by offering chemistry and consulting services tailored to the Intermediate Bulk Container [IBC] and Bulk Transport Tank Cleaning sectors, showcasing its deepening expertise and expanding market focus.
To augment its chemical and cleaning product lines, KMI acquired Advanced Formulas, Inc. located in Houston, Texas. This strategic acquisition aimed to enhance KMI's presence and offerings in the Gulf Coast and West Coast regions.
KMI Cleaning Solutions LLC, Partnered with OTI Greentech adding Technical resources and consulting throughout the KMI network.
OTI Greentech (AG ISIN DE000A2TSL22, “OTI"), an international provider of innovative and sustainable chemicals and services for industrial applications listed on the stock exchange in Düsseldorf [Germany], entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares of KMI Cleaning Solutions, Inc. Additionally, the establishment of a new European liaison as part of the acquisition makes KMI a more global company, significantly expanding its reach and capabilities on the international stage.
Reflecting its more international aspect and alignment with the OTI group of companies, the company decided to rebrand itself as KMI GLOBAL. This strategic move included adopting the icon and wordmark style of the OTI group, establishing a new domain [kmi-global.com], and launching a rebranded website. This rebranding signifies KMI GLOBAL's expanded vision and global reach, marking a new era of growth and international presence.
